Student feedback from the Wellbeing, Community and Diversity (WCD) Executive this year highlighted a strong desire for more support in integrating accessibility into digital content, events, activities, and services. In response, the Student Voice team has developed a new Accessibility Checklist designed specifically for student leaders and groups. This checklist covers a range of accessibility considerations for student leader/groups to consider, from physical access, to mental health, language and communication barriers, religious and cultural practices. The guide also explains digital accessibility, such as colour palettes, image descriptions, and fonts, and tips on how to embed accessibility into student-led events.
You can now find the checklist on Freshdesk, if you would like some more guidance on making your events, content, and community more accessible, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at Student Voice (voice@su.rhul.ac.uk) for more support.
