Before you get started in your new committee role, it is our responsibility to make sure you are fully equipped to run your group so you can hit the ground running in September.

In May, we held some invaluable Student Group Training sessions, in which we shared the information you will need to get through the summer as a committee and prepare for the year ahead. We went over all the basics and introduced you to the Student Opportunities team and explained how to help run your groups. We walked you through setting up your memberships and keeping on top of your finances, managing your fixtures, putting on events, and how to spend your group funds.

However, we know that May was a busy month for exams and end-of-year celebrations and that might have made it difficult for you to attend the sessions. So we have provided the slides and recorded the content for the mandatory sessions in video format which are now available online, as we want as many of you as possible to have had access to the training to set you up as well as we possibly can for the year ahead.

We expect at least one person from each committee to have attended the training either in person or watched the videos online. If accessing the online content you will need to watch the videos and complete a short quiz in order to be eligible for your group's summer funding. If your committee does not complete the mandatory sessions, you will forfeit your group's entitlement to this funding. You can find the content for each session by clicking the relevant buttons below where you will find a series of short videos and a link to the quiz.

The deadline to complete the training and quiz was Wednesday 31 July and has now passed and Summer Grant Funding has now been allocated.
